High Security Mode (HSM) is a special setting within Zinc that disables certain messaging functionality for security purposes. This is especially important for businesses that communicate ultra-sensitive information, such as Protected Health Information.
HSM primarily disables two features:
The “Export Conversation” functionality, which normally allows a Zinc user to send a transcript of a desired conversation to their email address (to read more about how to export a conversation, click here). Removing this functionality ensures that high value information does not leave Zinc.
HSM removes the message content from the push notifications you receive on the lock-screen of any device. Instead of a preview of the message that was sent to a conversation, the push notification will simply read “‘Person A has sent you a message”.
To activate HSM for your organization, simply email a request to our customer support team at email@example.com.
